How do you become a Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac listing agent?

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage~ Ginger Harper Real Estate Team 93383

I have been going through websites and signing up to do BPO and REO.  It seems like I may get one a week. But i need  to list properties in the area that are being sold by Freddie or Fannie.

I do not know where to get in touch with them to sign up.

Do you know?  and if you do...will you please point me in the right direction?

All help needed to begin this process.

Take care,

Ginger Harper

You have to sign up on Fannie Mae's website first.  Go to www.homepath.com click on Real Estate Professionals.  You should be able to register there.  Fannie Mae gets listing agents from registered agents.

when you go to homepath.com and then go to Real Estate Professionals, there is not a place to register to become a Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac REO listing agent. They only tell you the requirements but not the registration page. Can someone please help?

I feel your frustration. You just need to keep poking around on their sites. Keep clicking different links and see what comes up. Try Fannie Mae new vendor registration. From my experience, it is a long a and slow process. Freddie Mac uses specific asset managers for certain areas. Try this link:

http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?src=/groups/brokers

Just keep on digging until you find what you need or someone who can help you find what you need. Freddie posts that they do not have much turn over with their brokers and it could be years before they may need someone in a specific area. Hopefully when the REO's break loose again, That will not be the case.

Good luck!

You have to go to efanniemae.com and scroll down to where it says "industry specialist" an click on what ever type of service you provide. For exame I clicke on "REO Vendors" and then on "Becomin an REO Vendor". Here is the link. http://www.fanniemae.com/aboutfm/procurement/supplierregistration.jhtml?p=About+Fannie+Mae&s=Corporate+Procurement&t=Registration+Instructions Scroll all the way down were it says "Online Registration" and click on the link for the service that you provide. For example i clicked on "REO Real Estate Broke Registration" here is the link fo it. https://fanniemae.frictionless.com/fsguestvendor/pages/vendormgmt/ss/vendorreg_summary_pg,-2147292476:147,0afffffff803ffffffb61317b501a6c145521d54eeadcb I registered but i received an email stating that this is only an application and does not mean that i am a vendor yet. Im still waiting for a call from someone at fanniemae. As im concerned i wont get any listings until that happens. Good luck guys!

I am completing a fannie mae agent application, but one of the question is about price. Doea anyone know the best way to answer that question? it's not very clear what information they are asking.
