The worst day that I have had since I became a Loan Officer, was a couple of years ago when I lost a Loan for over $600,000. I worked on this Loan for over a week, and had to do several things to get it to work. I turned it in, my underwriter jumped through hoop to approve it, and the day before I would have had Commitment on the Loan they backed out. This had consumed a lot of my time. Time that I could have spent on other Loans. I felt bad, but felt even worse for the others who put other Loans aside to get mine done.
But when I look upon this now, it doesn't seem to be as bad as I thought it was then. In fact when I stop and think about it, if this is my worst day, then this is a GREAT business. I love my job, why wouldn't I, I get to give away money, and help people achieve their dream.
My worst day is probably better than most people’s best day. In fact when I think I am having a bad day I just think about this poor guy at the end of the ladder in the picture below.
