Will the desire of the President to bring peace actually do so?
Will his plans to get rid of the missile shield in Eastern Europe bring more peace- or less?
Will his desire to reduce the stock of nuclear weapons in the world bring more peace?
Can the Israelis and the Palestinians actually live side by side- in peace?
I was happy that he wanted to do these things to bring about more peace but now I am not sure that will actually happen by making these moves.

Todd - lets hope so, the last presidents approach didn't work out so well so lets see how this works before we call Obama the worst since Carter.
Todd, I'm with John. If the obstructionists don't get in his way, I think he stands a fair chance of most of not all of those accomplishments.
I think "Peace through Weakness" was already tried... Chamberlain wasn't all that successful...

I hope it does work out too. I am worried though that even if he can accomplish these things the end result may not be the peace we hope for. I guess we have to hope anyway.
