This photograph was taken late Friday afternoon (October 23), in the rain, in Maggie Valley. The leaves have been gold for several weeks, but the orange and red colors are popping out everywhere. Prime time for leaf lookers in Maggie Valley and Waynesville.

The temperature this morning on my deck is a crisp 32 degrees (at 7:30 a.m.), and this might be the coldest morning for the next few days.

How  stunning! We have neighbors across the street that also have a place in Maggie Valley. They say the area is just so beautiful and your photo confirms!

Susie, thanks for the fall picture. I loved living up North to enjoy the fall season, but moved to Florida for what follows.

It is so beautiful here too. All golden and red.

Fall is my favorite time of year. Gorgeous shots Susie.

Did you send me something yesterday? I thought I saw and email on my BB but nothing is there on Mac....

Hi Susie, You should have this piece enlarged to huge and give to a Gallery. Yep. It is that good! Just beautiful and the composition is totally gorgeous.

This is just beautiful, Susie! I really like the way you layered the photo too. Seems like this weekend they really did get an extra burst.

Hi Roy, I appreciate your comments.

Dick and Dixie, I lived in FL many moons ago; the nicest thing about NC (in the mountains) is the constant change of seasons. Beautiful, and never boring.

Dave, I would sure miss the 4 seasons if I were you!

Michael, I'm happy to see something besides green and gold!

Missy, I hope you got the picture I sent you. ;-)

William, WOW! Thank you so much.

Lee and Carol, I really love this time of year. [P.S. I don't know how to layer!]
