Recently I had the opportunity to work on a wonderful property in Flagstaff. As I entered the lovely cast iron artist's gate to the property all I could think was "wow"! Unfortunately, my elated wow turned to a concerned wow as I approached and entered the home. It was a classic case of a wonderful property with wonderful, yet busy, owners who had not done many recent updates. It was so much fun to work with the owners who quickly bought into the idea of turning their home into a "house"- which is the essence of staging.
I started with a consultation which the owner went through with a fine tooth comb (he claims to be a military man which made it easy for him to do "as he is told"!) and really began the initial staging work himself. The owners were gracious enough to turn their home over to Mountain Home Staging so that we could put the final touches on the product.
Over the course of the project MHS provided personal shopping services to pick out new bath fixtures, carpet and paint; full staging services for each and every area of the home; furniture and accessory rentals; coordination of new carpet installation and a deep cleaning by an outside cleaning agency.
This has been the most satisfying job yet! As I was finishing up the final touches and the realtor came through for the first time after the house had been staged I could hear her in the master suite say out loud "WOW!". I couldn't help smiling at her response to our hard work, dedication and creative eye.
If anyone out there is wondering whether staging is really worth it, these pictures speak for themselves.
I still can't believe this is a job! It almost seems unfair that I could have so much fun, help people and make money at the same time. I think I have found MY home! I thank the realtors and home owners out there who make it possible for Mountain Home Staging to continue to create great first impressions!
