Please read and take a look at this post about some very old strange rocks in Mammoth Lakes area.

Can anyone please tell me what this person is sitting on and where these rocks might be located?

Devils Postpile in California

I would like to congratulate James Malanowski for guessing the right answer to my question about he strange rocks and here is another photograph (above).

The photograph of the six sided rocks are at the top of this cliff.

The name of the strange rocks are Devil's Postpile in Mammoth Lakes California

Devil's Postpile ... Someplace I actually have been. Granted it's been awhile, though.

Wow! Very interesting photo... of obviuosly a very unusual rock formation. So next question: how in the world was the formation formed???

This is a great photo Robert. You sure visit some unusual places and then we get to benefit.
