Maravilla at Mountain's Edge Homes

Welcome Home to SW Las Vegas Communities:  Maravilla at Mountain's Edge

Maravilla at Mountains Edge is a subdivision in the growing Master Planned Community of Mountain's Edge tucked near the mountains in Southwest Las Vegas near the corner of Durango & Pyle.

Miravilla at Mountain's Edge is built by Amstar homes starting in 2006 and they are still building!!  Feel free to call or email for current prices or for your free list of current homes for sale (new construction or resale!)

The home style is hard for me to describe as I believe it is a style in the Eastern end of the US.  Alleys provide access to your garages so the front of the homes have outline character and detail without the unsightly view of a garage.  All front yards are required to have desert landscaping (no grass).  Most of the private yards (not all) are courtyard or patio style so these homes may be a perfect fit for someone who is looking for a detached home without all the high maintenance of a large yard.

There are currently 417 single family detached homes in Miravilla at Mountain's Edge ranging from 1480-2471 square feet.

Hmmm sounds good to me desert landscaping and no grass.... The sound of desert when winter is on the way sounds great to me!

Renee, this style home is called 'neo traditional' and in Florida, the homes are mostly low country style with porches across the front and built with Hardy board to look like wood siding. The design was started in Seaside, a town in the Panhandle, designed by an architect from Miami and spread to Celebration, Disney's town in Kissimmee near Disney World. Baldwin Park in Orlando copycatted Celebration. We have a little bit of neo traditional here in Jacksonville, but not an entire town concept like Celebration or Baldwin Park where there are downtown streets, shops, etc. The lots are small and there are parks and green areas in front of the homes. They are beautiful and look like the old fashioned home towns of our dreams and yesteryear. The architecture is pre-WWII. Yours is probably Mediterranean architecture? But it's very refreshing not to see a garage on a narrow house/lot. Also, the garages often have garage apartments and in Celebration and Baldwin Park they can be rented out - they have a separate address.

Renee, The community sounds really nice.  There a couple little pockets here that have that alley way parking.  It is an older style of years gone by from back east. desert scape sounds good!   Good luck with that and thanks for joining my group, it will be interesting to see it grow.  I hope you have a nice evening!

Hi Renee!  You never cease to amaze me!  Your presentations are so thorough and eye-appealing.  What a great community--like others, the desert landscape is very appealing--especially when you're used to 'micro-managing' a lawn to keep it green and tidy! :-)

Joan:  Make no mistakes, it still gets cold here!! (not as cold as many parts of the US but cold for me!)

Frank & Sharon:  THANK YOU!  I knew someone would come by and clarify this type of architecture!  LOVE ACTIVE RAIN!

Debbie:  I love waltzing into a neighborhood that looks "different" from the rest of the cookie cutters in town!

Debe:  ESPECIALLY when  you live in an area that has water restrictions!!  The desert landscaping in the Mountain's Edge area is done beautifully too!

Maravilla sounds like one more place that Tom and Lars could get out of the cold from; you have lots of charming areas.

Tom:  Thanks!  Again, the yards aren't big enough for the big guy himself (MR LARS), we will work on that when the time comes!  OR you may just find yourself another dog park regular!

Renee, I like not having to look at the garage from the front of the home. These homes in Maravilla are very appealing to the eye. Thanks for sharing!
