Hi Barb,
Glad you had a great Thanksgiving! It's sunny and warm here in the Colorado mountains today...we're getting ready for our BIG parade tonight!
Barb, Wow - it looks like you had a GREAT holiday. So fun :) My husband and I had a quiet day at home all to ourselves and it was delightful. Our daughter and her husband did Thanksgiving with us last weekend as they are with his family this weekend - so it was a blissfully nice day. Thanks for sharing the pics - and I can't believe you woke to snow. How fun is that. We actually woke to sun! Equally as exciting since we have not seen that in way too long. Have a great day!
Barb: Did you say SNOW ? Yikes. It is funny... being from Cleveland... I still keep the phone number for Cleveland Weather on my cell phone, and call it occasionally... just to see what's going on. I will have to call it, and hear your tale of woe. It appears you had a great Thanksgiving. Great pictures ! I wish I could have been up there in Mentor for Thanksgiving, too. Take care... stay warm...
Seeing you with your parents was just great. I'm sure it really "made" your Dad's Thanksgiving to be able to have his precious daughter sitting on his lap. How wonderful for both of you !
very cool! i'm not sure if i've been on your blog before but i love it! wonderful pics of your folks on thanksgiving -so nice to see! :-)
Barbara - what a lovely family! I love Thanksgiving and the opportunity to brings us to spend quality time with our loved ones.
Lisa, Hope you enjoyed the parade.
Geri, It was only 2 inches and yet there were 3 snowmen on our street!
Bill and T0m. Thanks and I hope your day was wonderful too.
Karen Anne, The snow did look really beautiful. The picture of me on my Dad's lap has kind of come a tradition! Only problem is I think I weigh more than he does!
Liz, Thanks so much for your kind words. My parents are 85 and 86 so I am truly blessed.
Lina, Days like Thanksgiving are gone in an instant but what wonderful memories.
Barb: I am sure that the reason you weigh more than you Dad... is because he is probably underweight... and your weight is just perfect... :)
PS... any positive news on Regina ?
He is underweight. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! No news on Regina, still closing as far as I know. My best friend bought me Regina sweatshirt for my birthday (and one for herself). You can see us both wearing them on my facebook profile page:)
Hi Barb--
We've never chatted, but as I was getting ready to send out a comment to Carra Riley, I saw your blog. Mainly because of your last name! A great artist muscian lived in California, with the name Szabo.
I was born in Bay Village, but moved at 3 yrs old to California, then moved all over the place, for most of my life, because of my work.
But my cousin, Joe Bubnick, works with Howard Hanna in Cleveland, or I shoud say Broadview Hts, and around. I'm sure you may know him. I'm getting re-aquainted with the Cleveland thing, to be more in touch with my Hungarian roots! Looking forward to being there in Dec. There's always something creative, or exciting to see that I've missed or didn't even know about--and get new ideas!
Anyway, as a stager with a design firm that redesigns homes, to room makeovers, or remodeling, to creating special events, I'm always looking around in various cities and states to create new ideas. I'm not sure if my cousin has used a stager with any of his listings. We know how important it can really be, especially with the first grab--that curb appeal!
But with the market as it is, up and down, it is so important, in how we can help each other, with win win situations. The agents don't want to stage out of their commision, the homeowner doesn't have the money, and either one may not know what exactly is to be done, etc.
At the MeredithDesignGroup, out of the Midlantic, here are a few of our new services being offered to agents and homeowners. I'm excited, because they could help before going to a short sale, or foreclosure!
1. E-Consulting- online consults from anywhere in the US
2. Stage It Now! Deferred Billing
3. The Quick Fix
Let me know if you need help finding one of these types of services in your area.
Anyway-hope you had a great holiday with your handsome family, in Ohio!
Maybe we'll see you there!
Oh--before I forget, you seem verrry savvy--how can I tie in my linkedin word press blog with ac?
Thanks for info.
Laura Risko Meredith
Pictures say it so well. Looks like you had a great thanksgiving, with lots of love and giving on your part.
Hi Laura, I do know Joe Bubnick as we work in the same market. Looks like your business is well thought out with offerings that would suit anyone. Good luck.
Awww...thanks for sharing your pictures...family ...the best thing to happen in the human race :)
Barb,
The thing that struck me about your Thanksgiving is how very lucky you were to still have your parents with you ... enjoy every day with them.
Sue
Sue, You are so right! Not only do I have them with me but they are in good health, still living on their own.
