Ok so, I had such a busy day scheduled for today. I had a contractor scheduled for service at 7:30 at a house that is about an hour away from home. Well at about 6:45 I'm am halfway to my destination and I get a call that they won't be there until around noon?? I kept my composure and said OK. Now. I have a meeting this morning at 9:30 and another one about an hour away at 1:30 and 2:30. So all I can say is this guy better be fast. Just thought I would say that if you make plans with someone, try to keep them. This was simply a means of inconveniencing the customer (me)
Chris.....I have to say that contractors are usually not very good with schedules.....they usually book more than the day will hold....
Chris it could have been worse and no call from the contractor. I know it sorta messed up your day but at least they called.
Yikes. That's a pet peeve of mine. I have had the same experience with contractors many times.
I had this happen yesterday. He called and said he couldn't find the house, but had waited for me to call him for 45 minutes because he didn't have my cell number with him. Of course I did call his office after waiting at the property for 1/2 hour after our scheduled appointment. When I was already on the way to my next appointment, he called and told me he was heading back to his other work site. Oddly enough, my next showing was 5 houses from where he was working. He must have driven very fast to cover the 1/2 hour distance so much faster than I did. He was there working in the yard as I drove by. My guess is, he forgot.
Thank you all for sharing. It is just very disheartening to have a schedule and always rely on others for their schedule.
Chris..it is a bother especially if you pride yourself with giving great service and keep your appointments. I know something comes up at times BUTTTT!!!
Hi Chris- Things happen, but I feel your pain. I bet that you'll not be as understanding about any future time changes from this business! Hopefully, it's a one-time thing, not a habit.
