The holidays are often filled with food, but how often do you consider the composition of the containers in which you store your food?
Tip #21: Avoid plastic storage containers
Senators Schumer and Gillibrand in New York are the latest to take up the cause against bisphenol A (BPA), but they are not the only ones. My family became aware of the dangers of BPA, a synthetic hormone linked to cancer, as many others did, with the birth of our first child. In fact, I see BPA-free labels most often on baby bottles and food containers that need to be heated up.
So just think about the number of left overs that will be stored in the coming week, and how often they will be heated right in the same container. So use either BPA-free plastic, or glass or ceramic. Even disposable tinfoil containers are better than containers made of plastic of an unknown source.

Daniel,
Why is it that economic factors should trump health, safety, and social conciousness?
The economy of the southern states prior to the Civil War was based entirely on slavery. By your logic that must have been OK too.
