Christmas Tree Recycling At Bass Pro Shops

Recycling Christmas Trees

A live Christmas tree offers so much more than an artificial tree, but once the tree begins to dry and lose it's needles, it's time to recycle it.

What do you do with your beautiful tree once Christmas is over?  Here in the Ozark's, Bass Pro Shops collect them and use them for fish habitats in Tablerock Lake.

With the help of the US Army Corp of Engineers and the local Boy Scouts, and with a small donation, these trees end up in their new home.

Not only do you clean up the environment, but you will help the Springfield Mo Boy Scout Clubs.   Proceeds go to benefit the Boy Scouts.

Thanks for the info.  I'll check to see if the Bass Pro Shop that opened this year near me offers the same service.

I love it and hope that a lot of it happens again this year. Our city did real well last year and supplied the city with free mulch. Please continue to share and get the word out.

Renee, I hope they are.  If not, check your local nursery and see if they have a recycling program.

Charles,  hope the city of Pensacola appreciates that.  Great idea.
