Yoga for balance

Balance your lifestyle with Yoga. I just always wanted to do it since it was like stretching and seemed to be great for you. Last September I did start. It has been so wonderful. On Mondays Wed and Fridays I join other brave early birds at 6:30 am to work out. We do sweat yet people of all ages are there. The 70+ look great and trim and have been doing it for years.

There is a quiet of the mind that we achieve. The mind has a lot to say when you are holding a pose (seemingly forever) It wants you to stop take a rest or do anything...else.

We have music and each other to cheer ourselves on.

Its for everyone and it makes you so strong.

The balance is the reward of mind and spirit.

Oh yeah Lynne, I've been doing yoga for 11 years.  Its a totally amazing mind/spirit/body workout.  As far as I'm concerned there is no other form of exercise.  Keep it up, don't quit.  In time you'll be amazed at the body transformation.  By the way, what yoga discipline are you doing?

Hi Lynne -- I love yoga -- It really does bring balance to one's life -- both physically and mentally.    I try to get to yoga every week -- It certainly is needed with all the stress real estate can bring.

Hi Lynne,

Yoga is fantastic the repetition is great for zoning out. The other great unrecognized exercise is walking. My husband and I spend hours in front of computers and recently started walking for exercise. We wear pedometers and try to do 10,000 steps in our walks. It is a great time to relax, take in your city and reconnect with  your walking partner.

Have a Yogalistic Weekend!

Lynne,

I will confess it has been way too long since my last yoga class, I keep saying I'm going to start again. I agree, you feel so much more balanced. I would love for you to join our fit club, we would love to have you! :)

Hi Lynne,

I just started Dahn yoga.  I'm really enjoying it.  I'm amazed at how much I can feel the energy flowing especially when they say to focus on your palms.
