Cedar City Subdivisions....Rancho Bonita.....

By
Real Estate Agent with Aubrey and Associates Realty

The next subdivision that we're highlighting in our series on subdivisions in the Cedar City area is the Rancho Bonita Subdivision.  It is not a subdivision that is marketed by our office, but it is a nice area.  It is about 1/2 mile north of the Sunrise Meadows Subdivision that we highlighted yesterday.  The lots are 1/2 acres and honestly this is another developing subdivision, it is still fairly new and there are several lots available for you to bring a builder.

The homes in this subdivision are more of the custom sized homes and prices have ranged from $260K to one that is listed at $336K.  The homes are mostly on a basement and have square footage at 1700 square feet on the main level, with additional square footage in the basement.

The homes and photos are absolutely stunning!  Looks like an incredible opportunity, and I love the mountain views in the background.

Tony and Darcy,

Has the recession slowed down new home construction very much?  It seems like you have lots of new housing starts in your area for the population!  Our new starts are down around 50% from two years ago.

Ellen: there are some great views to be had around here!

Bruce: Yes the recession has really slowed down our housing starts.  Many of these newer subdivisions have just a few home in them, (There is one subdivision with a great wall around it, roads, a park and 1 house inside of it) there are more starts in the last 3 or 4 months (which is rare due to the time of the year), than I have seen in the previous 14 to 18 months.  I wish that meant that it was picking up, but in truth there just aren't that many new homes under construction right now, it was just that slow previously.

Bruce: you're welcome.  It is a good question.

Patricia: It was a little chilly, we have had good Winter weather compared to most of the country (knock on wood!).

Erin: Thanks and the views are very nice.
