My best closing was when a lady from out of state wanted to sell her mobile home left vacant by her brother's death.  Very nice 2 bedroom 2 bathroom home.

The home was sold, she came into town for the closing, picked up her check and went back home.
The buyer's agent was a bit unorthodox but all in all, no fuss no hassle.

VB - My best closing occured this past November:  Short Sale + Cancer Scare for Buyer + Compassionate Seller, Bank and Listing Agent = AWESOME CLOSING.

Here's the blog I wrote about it days before we were scheduled to close:  Does Compassion Exist in this Market?

My best closing was the one where I brought a bit of sparkly to closing. It was a hoot and one of the nicest closing I have had. here is the blog I wrote about that closing http://activerain.com/blogsview/1300695/add-a-little-bit-of-sparkly-to-your-real-estate-closings

My best closing was a listing where I represented the seller on a $70,000 listing.  Everything closed without a hitch and I have a very happy seller who was ready to move on with life.  The buyer was obviously unhappy with his agent and asked me for my business card in front of him.  The buyer called me about a month later to ask for a meeting and handed me an investment package worth $3.2 million and he asked me if I could help him get it for $2.3 million.  They hired me and we closed a lot of houses and apartment complexes, over $6 million in sales in 2 years. You never know where business will come from...

My best closing last year was my smallest....helped provide dollars for Mrs. Seller to pay for tuition as she helps her husband work themselves back from the edge of financial ruin.

My best closing was the last closing I had in 2009.   It was for the Buyer that I worked for for over a year.  She made a couple of offers that did not lead to a sale but third time was a charm.  The main reason why it was a memorable closing and the best one is because the out of town Sellers went out of their way to write a letter to my Buyer and to pass on the info and documents relating to the history of the home and the first family that lived there (before them).  They made sure that the history of the house was preserved for future generations to enjoy.  It was a very happy moment at closing when my Buyer received the letter and unexpected documents.  I made sure to send a card to the Sellers for their nice gesture.

Robert:  Back in the day when my town of Temecula was much smaller and there were only a handful of agents.....I showed a happy and newly married couple three homes and they purchased one!!!!

It was on Mother's day and I had to leave my tiny children for a few hours but it was well worth it.  The couple was so nice and it was actually my very first transaction representing a buyer....

I thought to myself....This is so easy!!!!!    I found out that it is not always that easy but what a wonderful first transaction.

And thank you very much for featuring my blogs in "California Dreamin", I like your gourp as I love California also!  Happy New Year to you and your wife and family!

Way back in 1979, in Houston, I helped my Clients sell their house. They had a billion aquariums of various sizes, and I kept commenting on them because I had always wanted an aquarium. Their closing gift to me was a 55-gallon aquarium setup. I was the happiest 24-year-old on Earth.
