Mr. Cheney, gave a statement to Politico.com today. Not decrying the terrorist incident itself, but instead using that attack as an opportunity to bash the president, to accuse the president of not keeping America safe. Republicans, left to their own devices, have in this case excitedly launched a series of obviously baseless, factually incorrect, demonstrably untrue and hypocritical attacks.
Baseless, factually incorrect, demonstrably untrue and hypocritical attacks know no political boundaries. It seems there are plenty to go around from all sides and I for one am waiting for a few good leaders that will quit blaming others and get to work on the issues at hand.
Whatever happened to the "unwritten" law of those previously in power to keep their yaps shut?

It is really sad that we have had such a tragic turn of events. I certainly don't remember anyone ever doing anything remotely like this when President Bush was in charge!
C'mon, don't allow partisan politics to pit us against each other. The only way to create real change is to change the people in office - ALL OFFICES! There must be someone that is willing to represent us in the tradition of "Mr Smith Goes to Washington."
