Cumberland Cove Water Project
Despite a few delays, the water project for Cumberland Cove is underway.This project has been under development since 2008 and now it is going full force.
A Rural Development loan of $1,284,000 and a grant of $800,000 are being used by the city of Crossville to extend water service to this upscale community. The Cumberland Cove Property Owners Association will invest an additional $3 million to fund this project.
The Cumberland Coves's residents voted over 78% in favor of the water project ,for the project has an assessment for every resident.Some property owners have experienced iron in their water, but others have had no problems.
This water project will definitely increase property values. Natural gas was run the end of last year.
This is a huge project, for it covers 18,000 acres. This pristine community of 1-10 acre lots has over 450 homes at this time. Many retirees are coming from all over the country to reside in this upscale community.
