Can anyone still get a loan?

Lately I feel like funding is just drying up! Give me some hope...are there any bankers out there that can do these few simple things:

Answer the Phone on the weekend - When is the majority of real estate work done?

Just be Upfront ... Yes or No... No bull ...

Go outside the Box... Just get it done or tell me you can't get it done.

Once you give me a pre-approval... please close it

Don't rip off my buyer.. interesting I was telling a buyer to get two quotes.. you know what he Said "Yes it will keep them honest" sad but many times it is true. Treat my buyers good and I will send you some more!

In closing yes there are a few good men and women bankers... I hope you are one of them!

Not very easily, Mark. Times have sure changed and your concise post is a stark reminder of the reality of the bleak economic climate.

One thing I noticed in your blog, you keep saying banker? Find a good honest broker, and these problems will be solved for you.

Appears that you need to develop relationships with a new group of loan officers that will provide the quality of service that you clients need. There are many outstanding people in the business.

Mike, there are actually really great bankers/brokers out there. 1Broker I use and only 1, i can reach anytime before 11pm. He even returned my calls while on vacation and got the deal done. Keep searching, my Guy is @ 1 1/2 hr drive from you but maybe he can refer you to an excellent broker.

Last year was brutal for me in that reguard.  I had an $800,000 office building fall 12 days before closing on a 90 closing, the bank at the tale end went from needing 150K down to 350K down.  This was a millionare buyer with 800 credit score.

BRUTAL

I know where you are coming from.

I had to basically start over last year when it came "go-to" mortgage brokers.  So many had left the business, or had even gone out of business in our area.

I hear you brother, the one I relate to is once I get pre-approval close the darn deal for goodness sake, why commit if you can't close the deal?

Mark, ask him the following:

How many lenders are you approved with? How long have you been doing this? Very important, ask him for customer testimonials. Also, ask him for other Realtor referrals. Whenever I approach a Realtor to work with, I give him/her a package of the services I provide as well as other Realtor referrals. This can speak volumes. Also, if he's a broker, and still in business now, he/she know's what there doing !
