The GOP hit another Home Run tonight with Bob McDonnell, the Govenor of Virginia, speaking from the state capital with a large group of people cheering his comments. This was so much better than last year when Bobby Jindal spoke into the camera alone in a room. Who ever thought up this deserves an award. Perhaps it has been done before but I don't remember.
There was so much wrong with this State of the Union speech I wouldn't know where to start.
Hi Tom...Interesting take on this evening. Fortunatey the CNN polls do not show the same results about President Obama's State of the Union speech.

I watched the President and I watched the Governor of Virgina. I am with the majority who felt the President did a good job. Unfortunately, the Governor really did not offer anything different than the policies that got us into this big mess before the President took office.
Where were all these deficit hawks while the previous President was taking the nation back to deficit spending and doubled the national debt and left the nation looking more like the end of Herbert Hoover's Administration?
Only Clinton and Truman had 3 consecutivebalanced budgets since the end of WWII. GWB had 1 balnced budget. The last Republican before him to have a balanced budget was Richard Nixon (also in his first year budget).
It has been one year, our economy was cratering just like the Florida housing market in 2009. I for one will wait to see the trajectory over the course of his term. I think that will be an slow upward slog from what he inherited
Tom- I like McDonnel, he hit the right cord with me tonight and made a bigger name for himself. Bet the left is looking for dirt on him about now.
Too bad I missed it. The SOU speech was a real snoozer. I woke up at 2:45. Listening to Obama is better than taking sleeping pills and it is not habit forming... Helping you help others live their American dream...
Uh Oh. Today the polls showing how great he was are already telling another tale.
