Against all odds! Amanda had obsticles, but still got to Haiti

If you haven't read my post about an amazing young womanwho grew up here in Eatonton, GA and became a nurse who has volunteered to go to Haiti for 9 days... you should.

Amanda Davis is a very determined woman and had lots of trials on Friday when she was supposed to be leaving... I read on Facebook :

"Amanda Davis... so I'm pretty sure that I totaled my car this morning when I got hit by a lady who slid on ice on the interstate... just now heading home... officially haven't slept in about 24 hours..."

Not only did she total her car on Friday when she was in a head on collision on the Interstate in Memphis, Tenn. But her flight was also canceled and she had to drive to Jackson, MS to catch a flight to Atlanta to catch the flight to Haiti.

So please continue to pray for this very brave young woman.

Nah, just nature. Lady who hit her slid on ice, airport closed due to snow. Just nature Jane. I'm sure she'll be fine and do A LOT of good.

Sharon- although it was no natural disaster, Amanda spent a summer in the Ivory Coast working at a clinic and did extraordinary things. She's very talented and very level headed.

Susan-She was just 5 years old when I really started getting to know her. That was the first year I taught her Sunday school. She is very incredible. Thanks for your prayers.

Got an email from her mom this afternoon saying she's arrived safely and it's 95 degrees and she expects she'll be working night shift. I will keep you all updated Dorie-

Susan- wow, I'll tell her that on her facebook page and I know she'll be thrilled. Her mom forwarded two emails from her today. Hopefully she'll be able to keep in touch the entire time she's there.

Tammy, our Bishop somehow got into Haiti within two days after the earthquake. We figure he flew on a military plane. When people have to go, they get there!
