Aerobics class started the second week of January in Casta del Sol, Mission Viejo after a four week down time. It sure shows me that my muscles didn't like the time off because they have been screaming. They say sore is good! But I'm not taking bets on that.
Our instructor Lelia always comes back with new ways to work our bodies! The program she puts us though consists of light dance warm-ups, lunges and squats just to get started. We follow that up using different size weights with repetitions, till we yell uncle, LOL. Finishing the hour off down on mats for push-ups, leg exercises kicking and raising our legs high then low. Mixing into this are balance pods, stretch bands and stretch tubs to make sure we work the whole body.
The pay off for all this is strong bones, strong muscles, keeping fit to hopefully prevent osteoporosis and making us agile though our golden years.
