How to put your real estate blog on steroids and get more traffic, leads and home sales

When it comes to creating a real estate blog many agents have a hard time
creating articles and content that will actually attract visitors and get search engine rankings.

Real estate blogs are a great way to build links back to your real estate website
in addition to creating a secondary place to feature your home search, CMA, and auto e-mail
features.

In addition to being a place where you can easily add content and get more traffic
blogs are also an extension of your real estate website. This means that people should be able
to search for homes, request a home value analysis, sign up for an auto e-mail listing service
or easily be able to make contact with the real estate agent.

It is important that you create pages on your website blog that include
number one - a search for homes page
number two - a free home value analysis
number three - a contact me page or contact us, which provides the
information for getting ahold of the agent.

There are many places to create a real estate blog but normally speaking
when writing an article there'll be a section at the bottom where you will put in "tags".

Tags are keywords for your blog article. This means that if you input a real estate listing
as an article for Key West Florida your tags would be "Key West home for sale",
"Key West beachfront home for sale", "home for sale in Key West Florida".

It is important that when you create the articles of the blog that you always
make sure you put relevant tags in the tag section.

There are a lot of things you can write articles on for real estate blog, but generally speaking
you will want to write articles on your local community area, local events, places to visit,
restaurants and places to eat, golf courses, parks, local attractions, and last but not least
the area real estate market, articles about you is an agent, home listings, new developments and
information on buying or selling a home.

I have found that in putting listings as articles or entries into a blog does a great
job for getting search engine traffic and results. Normally speaking what I do is simply take
the information off the listing page and cut and pasted onto the blog.

If the listing page says "great home for sale on the beach", then I will take it and write it up as
"great Key West home for sale on one of Florida's warm sandy beaches".

I want to make sure that I'm getting the keywords in the description of the listing
that I want to rank in the search engines. By making a few modifications and then also
adding for photos and a link back to the listing page, I am able to create a great blog article
that has a very good chance of ranking on the first page of Google.

Every single blog article that I create always includes the following things;

a home search link at the bottom of the blog that will advertise an MLS
home search of all listings in the area.

The link that will advertise a free CMA request.

The contact information for the listing agent.

A link back to the Main website home page.

Links to any other real estate website, blog or SEO pages I have created
such as www.agreatertown.com.

In a perfect world you will have at least 2 to 3 blogs that you can cross-link
together. For me this would include activerain.com, realtown.com, WordPress.com
in addition to me also dropping blogs on my MySpace.com profile(s) in their blog section.

When you cross-link multiple blogs together and input a listing article
make sure you make some small modifications to the article so it does not read
the exact same way every single time.

As an example if I write five bedroom Key West home for sale as the title for one blog
then I will change the title for the next blog to something like
"Beachfront key west home for sale/5 bedroom/4 bath".

It is also important that whatever you named the title of the blog you also take
that same title and make that the first line of your blog entry.

It is also important that you bold out any text in your article that includes
the key words you are using for tags.

As you may remember I have done past articles were I tell agents to go online
and create their articles on a website called www.free-online-HTML-editor.com.

This online resource will allow you to easily create an HTML-based ad that you can also
cut-and-paste and put into craigslist, backpage.com and other online classifieds.

GREAT BLOG SUBMISSION WEBSITES!

Last but not least comes my best tip yet for putting your blog on steroids
and getting indexed and found by multiple sources on the Internet.

There are two websites that you can go to to submit your blog
and get it indexed in a multiple group of blog directories.

These websites will mass submit your blog and RSS feed and help you
not only get your blog indexed in multiple locations but also
help get better search engine rankings and ultimately more traffic.

These two sites are;

www.feedping.com and also www.feedshark.com

If you have a blog than it is a good idea to submit it to these two websites
and help get it indexed in more places on the Internet.

If you can write up a real estate listing, add some good tags,
submit to 2 to 3 blog locations and also submit your blog to these directories
then you are well on your way to starting to see a good boost in traffic
and results within the next 30 days.

The goal of these articles is to get not only attention to your listing
or listings you may be advertising for others but ultimately to get people
to click on the home search button and enter their contact information.

Blog articles without a home search link will get decent traffic but few results.

There are other many good resources and places to submit your blog
and if you want some more or want to see examples of blogs that feature
some listing articles then visit www.milliondollarhomesellingsystem.com
and sign up for our free newsletter and I will e-mail the information to you.

The more good local information you can index in your blog, website, and other online sources
in addition to real estate listings and real estate market information the more visitors
and traffic you will get.

The ultimate goal is to be a resource for your community that specializes and focuses on real estate
so anytime somebody is looking for something in your area they come to you to find it.

Try to set up a realistic goal for indexing this information. You must do what is practical for you
and for some people this might mean two blog entries per week, one blog entry per week or
one blog entry per month. I find that it normally takes me about 45 minutes to create an article
and then submitted to three or four different online sources.

If you are an agent with a lot of money and no time, then perhaps you can have an assistant,
family member or consultant help you with getting this information indexed.

If you are an agent with no money and a lot of time, then this is a great way
to start building your business and getting more home sales from the Internet.

Best wishes to your success,
