Breaking News: The Happiest Places In The Nation are Boulder, Grand Haven, Honolulu, Provo and SANTA ROSA

An announcement in today's paper said that a massive study (The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index) was released where more than 353,000 Americans were interviewed in 2009.  People were asked to assess their jobs, finances, health habits, mental attitudes and communities.  Here are the top 5 best and happiest places in America to live.

  1. Boulder, CO
  2. Grand Haven, MI
  3. Honolulu, HI
  4. Provo, UT
  5. Santa Rosa, CA (Sonoma County!)

The headline in the article, since this is my local newspaper, was "Happiest Place In California: Sonoma County".  Ah ha, this goes to show we have more than just happy cows here!

I can only guess as to why this is the case.  We have the best of wines (have you seen Bottle Shock yet?), we have the Pacific Ocean, we have the redwoods.  What's not to love?

It's always nice to enjoy the place you live, and even better when it is rated by others as a top place to live. Enjoy the week in your wonderful location!
