 What a great start to the New Year! January 2010 is continuing to show that the market is on the move. As you will see below January 2010 has shown the following increases over January 2009: Home Sales Units (+15.77%), Home Sales Volume (+13.03%), Pending Contracts (+22.74%), and New Listings (+34.74%). These are all positive signs that the comfort level in the housing market is increasing. 

In January 2010 1,155 homes, condos, and townhomes went under agreement. That's nearly 23% better than the previous year when 941 went under agreement  in January.

In January 2010 Total Sales Volume was $143,268,044 a 13% increase from January 2009 when total sales volume was $126,748,154

The average selling price last month was $210,592 down nearly 5%y from $219,583 in January 2009.

New Real Estate listings for January 2010 were 2424 up 34% from 1799 in January 2009

Active Listings last month were 6618 down from 7532 in January 2009. That's over a 12% decline which is a good thing!

The sales volume is up even though the average sales price is down by 5%.  That's good news for new buyers to the market.  Thanks for blogging!
