Posting this blog runs the risk of others thinking that I am the "last to know" about the latest technology gimmick, which sometimes is the case! However, I will admit that I just learned about it, and thought it worth posting at this late date for others who may be in my position.
The free Google 411 number to locate and reach local businesses is a great asset to have in your cell phone, particularly when you are driving and don't have (or shouldn't have) access to pen and paper, or have clients with you who are asking questions about a particular issue, such as "do you think there are tee times available this afternoon" as you drive by a local golf course. For those still in the dark ages, just call 1-800-Goog411, give a city and state location, the name of the business you are trying to reach, and voila, there they are on the other end of the phone! And all free of charge!
