New Hampshire Real Estate Year End 2009 Market Report
Wow! For the first time in five years we can actually say we closed out the year, ahead of the previous year!
2009 year end state wide unit solds came in ahead of 2008 by 6 percent. According to data released by the New Hampshire Association of REALTORS (NHAR) there were 10,832 single family homes sold in NH in 2009 that is up from the 2008 total of 10,208. While sale prices lagged behind 2008 with a decrease of 10% YTD ...the January 2010 painted a different story with a small price increase when comparing to Jan 2009.
The tax credit continues to be an attractive incentive and along with competitive home prices and low interest rates we’re expecting a very active NH spring market.
January was a much busier month statewide in units sold so don't hesitate if you’re thinking of buying or selling and want to take advantage of the Tax Credit give us a call and we can chat about your options.
