What To Do While On Hold For A Short Sale Negotiator

One day I got an entire pedicure while waiting on hold :) 

Sometimes I get another phone call going with another bank, 2 lines going on hold is a lot of fun.

When I'm in the office, I use a headset.  I've had many times that I've been on hold for so long with no background music that I start doing other things and forget I'm on hold.

One time, about 20 minutes into our office's weekly meeting, the negotiator picked up and I had no recollection of which file i was on hold for.  Kinda embarrassing,

I am never on hold as much as YOU--- but I do like chatting with you when you are (patientlY) waiting for the bank to respond!  Kathy

I sometimes get caught up on my accounting work.  I usually have the phone on speaker and I just work away with the hold music in the background.

Once again, Ray Wright and I are on the same page. I have a wireless headset and can wander through the entire house doing chores, exercising, paperwork, etc. My favorite is to go online to the county courthouse and pick up new leads from those just given a default notice. This is also writing time and I have written 2 books while on hold in the past year!

I can honestly tell you that I was on hold with Bank Of America last week for a whopping 2 hours and 7 minutes, I was going to hang up after 10 minutes then after 30 and then after 40 however it then became a challenge to me to see how long it woulld take, I then put the phone on speaker and went about my day, returned calls, emailed, chatted, blogged, and then finally when someone answered, we got something accomplished., but for the record I HATE being on hold!
