You can buy a home directly from the Department of Veteran's Affairs.
The VA will take properties back as a result of foreclosures on VA-guaranteed and VA-financed loans. You do not have to be a Veteran to buy a VA-owned property. VA owned properties are available to both veterans and non-veterans.
BAC Home Loan Servicing,LP is VA's service provider and they list and sell the VA-acquired property. You can contact your Realtor or find listings here. Equator Financial Solutions. You can browse through the site and see if there is anything there that might be of interest. I would recommend strongly that you have a Realtor represent you in the purchase. You need someone on your side.
And you can use any lender you want for the loan on the property. You can use FHA, THDA, Rural Housing and Confoming Conventional loans. And of course a VA if you have the benefit.
