It is hard to believe that homes are sitting on the market ripe for the taking and buyers are still playing the waiting game! A buyer can buy a home at a 45% discount and pay low interest rates and low property taxes here in Los Angeles County, California.
What will it take for buyers to realize that they are letting a golden opportunity pass them by. The government is paying first time buyers $8,000 which covers most of the down payment for a home priced $300,000. The government is even paying buyers that have owned and lived in the same home, whether moving up or buying a lower priced home, $6,500.
The sad thing about buyers waiting right now is that America is depending on the recovery of the real estate market in order to pull out of the damn recession. Once homes start selling, prices will rise. This means home owners will recoup lost equity. They will start spending money at restaurants and buying cloths, fixing cars, buying gifts. This will mean more people will be needed to restock shelves, ring cash registers, manufacture goods. This will be the recovery that we are all praying for!
