A cowboy never takes unfair advantage...
This post by Susan Hamblen in Smithtown NY shows how to make the world a better place.
A Cowboy never takes unfair advantage!
Recently I came across the COWBOY CODE and I was prompted to think of the application we can make as Realtors. I am not talking horse riding and chewin tobacco but rather a code of honesty, integrity and respect. Look over the code and see if you would fit in the Wild West Club. Whether you are a real estate agent selling homes in Texas or a buyer's broker working with a home buyer in New York there is truth in this code to live by.
A cowboy never takes unfair advantage - even of an enemy. As realtors we abide by a code to protect our client's interest but also to deal fairly with all parties.
A cowboy never betrays a trust. He never goes back on his word. That is powerful in and of itself. But take a look at the rest...
A cowboy always tells the truth.
A cowboy is kind and gentle.
A cowboy is free from racial and religious intolerances.
A cowboy is always helpful when someone is in trouble.
A cowboy is always a good worker. (Does this mean no loitering at the coffee pot?)
A cowboy respects womanhood, his parents and his nation's laws.
A cowboy is clean about his person in thought, word and deed.
A cowboy is a patriot.
As Realtors serving our community we have the potential to make a positive impact. We have the potential to shine with honesty and integrity. We have the potential to help others in need. We have the potential to control the temperature in the room by influencing others around us. I am on a mission to make an impact, to help my fellow man, to help my clients by genuinely caring about their needs.
It is going to be a good ride I am sure!
