Got a chance to drop by the Streetfest benefit for the Greensprints Alliance in downtown Woodstock GA - what a gorgeous day for an outdoor event with music and arts and crafts! As advertised, East Main Street was closed off to provide space for the street vendors and a stage was set up for ongoing band perfermances. There was also a rock wall for kids near Canyon Burgers. The view from the rooftop deck at Pure taqueria was spectacular and the green beer was flowing in a post- St Patty's Day tribute.
Would love to see this type of event in Woodstock more often- it would seem beneficial for the downtown merchants and also generates and promotes a real sense of community. And, in this case, helps the area with greater awareness and with the development of Woodstock and Cherokee County's trail system. A big thanks goes to the organizers of the Greensprints Alliance Streetfest - great job all the way around!
