Then there's the Maywood Historic Train Station in the center of town, that has a fabulous historical museum in its station building these days, and a renovated caboose with mini train track set up inside for viewings !
Aside from Maywoods roots, its location in Bergen County makes it a desirable place to call home as its proximity to all the major Bergen County Shopping Malls is terrific ! (there are 3 major malls within about a mile of Maywood in 3 different directions !)
....including the recently renovated Bergen Towne Center, on the Maywood/Paramus border which houses stores like Whole Foods, Century 21, Massage Envy, Marshalls, Off Saks 5th Ave, Nordstrom Rack, Gap Outlet, and one of my personal favorites, a Super Target Store !!!!!
With access to all major highways including Route 17, Route 4, Route 46, Route 80 and the Garden State Parkway, and its outstanding Elementary and Middle Schools, Maywood is a perfect location for those who dont want to retreat entirely from Main Street, but want a little slice of suburbia to call home !
