Henderson Walk subdivision was a "new concept" in 1982 when large homes on small low maintenance lots were introduced to the metro Atlanta housing market.  Now known as cluster home communities, Henderson Walk met some resistance from the community who had preconceived notions about small lots in new home developments.  Once the housing product was finished, consumers began to realize the small low maintenance lot did not affect the value of the home.  Buyers were actually looking for a larger, full size home but wanted to give up the headaches of maintaining large lawns and landscaping.

Henderson Walk homes are four sides low maintenance brick which added to both the architectural look of the community and the long lasting integrity of the housing product.  Most were 3 and 4 bedroom homes and all had 2 car garages.  Each home was built on a self contained lot.  There are no shared driveways or zero lot line buildings.\

Homes are currently priced in the upper 200.000s.

The Henderson walk community is located in the Embry Hills neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia (in unincorporated DeKalb County).  The neighborhood lies near the I-285/I-85 intersection and is about a mile outside the Perimeter.  Commute downtown is easy as residents get on I-85 inside the perimeter at the Chamblee Tucker exit.

Embry Hills has all the shopping, restaurants and shopping needed to make life easy and convenient for Henderson Walk residents.  Kroger, The Loop restaurant, Angies Petals Florist, Moes, Bank of America, gas stations, S&S cafeteria and others are just steps away.  There are also nearby houses of worship including Holy Cross Catholic and Embry Hills United Methodist Church.
