There are many great neighborhoods in World Golf Village and they all have unique personalities. Our family chose to live in Royal Pines over 10 years ago. One of the things I like best about Royal Pines is the houses are all very different. When you turn into Royal Pines you will see houses with stone, houses of brick, stucco houses and lots of varied architecture. There is a feeling of quality but everyone expressed their personality in their own style. So many neighborhoods requre all the houses to look the same and it is hard to find your own house because it looks just like your neighbors, but that is not the case in Royal Pines.
Another great feature of Royal Pines is the sidewalks on both sides of the street. They are shaded by the oak trees that are planted throughout Royal Pines and graced with unique light fixtures that make you feel at home when you drive into our neighborhood. I used to walk our black lab, Bella, every day and we had many great adventures on the sidewalks in Royal Pines and throughout World Golf Village. No one was ever sure if I was walking Bella or she was walking me. I do know after our 5 mile walk, I was exhausted and she was still ready to go and pulling me along. We made many friends on those sidewalks because so many of our neighbors also have dogs and are out walking them in the mornings.
While Bella and I walked, we saw so much wildlife in our area. One night late we saw 2 otters running across the street from one lake to another. It took us a few minutes to figure out what we had just seen. There are always egrets and blue herons out by the lake. At certain times of the year, the ducks are everywhere. When I would take Bella out early in the morning to our backyard which is on the lake, I would hear a loud ruckus and then something hitting the water and I would realize the ducks had just landed on the water. I always enjoy watching them while they are around. I guess you have figured out that I love to be outdoors and Royal Pines is the perfect neighborhood for this. My son loves the outdoors even more and he spends lots of afternoons and early evenings fishing in our backyard. He has caught some incredible bass and catfish. He has to release them because even though the lake system is over a mile long, it is part of the drainage system for the entire neighborhood. That doesn't hinder his enjoyment of catching the fish and sometimes taking a quick picture when he catches something very large.
Royal Pines has been the perfect neighborhood for our family. We have great neighbors and love the convenience to everything especially to hop on I-95 and go towards St. Augustine or Jacksonville. If you love the outdoors, you may love Royal Pines also.
