The Fairhope bay front area is one of the most picturesque in all of Baldwin County, AL.

This historic 1920's bungalow, located at 256 N. Bayview Street, is set high on the bluff overlooking the glimmering waters of Mobile Bay, just a few short blocks from Downtown Fairhope.  The high elevation shields home owners from harsh weather conditions, yet the ideal location provides residents with all the joys of bay life.

The historic Fairhope home was solidly constructed with plaster over Clay City tile and features 3300 square feet and original hardwood floors, brick fireplace and crown molding.  The front porch is a focal point of the home as cooler temperatures give way to the warming bay breezes and provide a great vantage point to take in the breathtaking scenery.  Toward the rear of the property, you will find an 800 square foot guest house that overlooks the pool and lush landscape, to include Camellias, Ginger Lillie's, fruit-bearing Pear trees.

The quaint neighborhood offers an unparalleled lifestyle for both children and adults, with both the wonders of the bay to explore and the year round activities of Fairhope's downtown at your fingertips.  Fairhope is a small town that celebrates its beauty and culture, with annual events like Mardi Gras, Arts & Crafts Festival and First Friday Artwalk.  The bay front of Fairhope is an active community and its residents make it a point to gather for "First Sunday Sunsets" and occasional picnics.

Thanks for your post.  My husband and I had planned to rent a sailboat in Fairhope and sail to Pensacola where he had been stationed in the Navy.  We had looked forward to this trip so long.  Unfortunately Hurricane George hit right before our vacation dates.  We had to change our plans but ended up having a wonderful vacation on the Chesapeake.  However, Fairhope is such a quaint town that I hope I get to visit some day.  Thanks for reminding me.
