Wordless Wednesday, Packing to Move, Don't Hire These Packers.

 Alpaca's

Alpacas are primarily bread for wool, while their cousins the Llama are used as pack animals.  These guys probably have done very little hauling in their life.  I took their picture outside of La Conner WA recently while visiting the Tulip Festival.

I love alpacas. I remember the first time I saw one I could not figure out what the heck it was. Great pics.

Dan ~ I know some folks that raise them, but really have never seen one.  They sure do look soft and cudly (their fur, that is!)

It looks like they enjoy their lifestyle and would prefer to just be left alone.

Hi, I didn't get any closer than this when I took the pictures.  The one Alpaca looked up at me and was thoroughly unimpressed.  He just went back to his grazing.  I'd guess that if I went by again in the next month or two these guys will all have had a trim and someone would be busy spinning some wool.

They're beautiful.  I have to say I have seen more llamas than I could count, but I don't think I've ever seen an alpaca.

Very interesting looking animal.  I've never seen one so I'm not sure if we have them here in Ontario.

I like those little fellows, but I'm also wondering where the pictures are of the Tulip Festival. That's just not right to tell us that you took time out to go to a Tulip Festival without showing us any pictures. I guess we all know where we stand with you! LOL
