Come on out Carol Stream, and enjoy a great celebration on August 7th from 6pm to dusk. A community BBQ is being hosted in Community Park. (located at Thornhill drive just east of Schmale) A live band, food and games will be included in this event, which is hosted by the Joint Council of southeast Carol Stream, Outreach Community Center and the Carol Stream Police Department.
In recognition of National Night Out, Carol Stream residents are encouraged to turn on their outside lights, lock their house and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police. It is a time to join forces with thousands of communities, nationwide for the Annual National Night Out crime and druge prevention event.
34 million are expected to join in the event nationwide on August 7th. This nationwide event is supported by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance.
