Latest Update 4/30/10: An article in the Connecticut Post states that the construction of the Black Rock train station is moving forward. $19.4 million has been bonded by the state, the developers are contributing $5.2 milliion, and the Town of Fairfield has committed $5 million. This will cover the costs of creating a 1,500 space parking lot, access road, drainage plan, wetlands and shoreline remediation, site regrading, soil capping, utilities, and retaining walls. This is great news for Black Rock! The train station should be up and running next year.
