Yes even though it is much older homes and most of them don't even have a two car garage...they sell. Buyers like to have shorter commutes and avoid hours in traffic en-route to and from work. There is a definite appeal to the consumer for less monthly gasoline bill, and proximity to mass transit, METRO and the Pentagon and DC.
