Why is Santa Clarita one of the safest cities in this country. It is people like Rick Patterson of Owen Patterson and Owen and Anthony Zinnanti two local attorneys here in Santa Clarita who filed a restraining order to bar Jack Mcclellan from being within 10 yards of a minor child.
Rick and Anthony are our most recent heroes. This restraining order not only applies to Santa Clarita but to the entire state of California! This predator has been in other neighboring cities taunting local officials and others with no recourse. He recently made the mistake of visiting Santa Clarita and posting a few locations in our city on his website and that he would be returning again to list more.
You may or may not have heard about Jack McClellan recently for those of you who do not know who this man is he is a confessed pedophile who recently moved to California and openly states that he is sexually attracted to little girls age 3-11. He operated a website which listed best locations to observe small children.
Well the difference between our city and others is that this outraged the citizens here, and rather than talk and whine about it being the sign of the times, we did something about it!! And to any other would be copycats out there beware we will not tolerate this type of behavior in our city so don't even think about it.!
Not only have Rick and Anthony stepped up to the plate to stop this predator, but so have our local politicians namely Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, his wife Lena Smyth with MASP "Mothers against sexual predators", Assembly woman Sharon Runner and Senator Runner from the California legislature. They are working on bringing about change to the state penal code to make this type of activity illegal.

It is my sincere hope that Jack and others like him suffering from this type of behavior, seek the proper treatment, help, or counseling for this problem. Not only for their sake but for the sake of innocent children.
