Great Ideas to help us, should our business be suffering during the ups and downs of the housing market

Are you experiencing a downturn in business?  Lack of business can be a result of more than just a slump in the economy as I know stagers who are exploding with business even though living in a depressed area. And since human nature is the same everywhere, one shouldn't just automatically assume it's the economy.  So what hidden or less noticeable areas could be underlying the downturn?

Consider the following possibilities:

1) Has competition arisen in your area that is beating you out for one reason or another?

2) Are you adequately showing and explaining the BENEFITS?

3) How are you coming across?  friendly, desperate, overly hungry, not caring enough?

4) How many agents have you taken to lunch or had an appointment with recently?  Have you asked them point blank why they are not using your services?  They may "get it" but for some reason they don't "get you".  Any time you can have face time with an agent it is a good thing.

5) Do you have at least five referral gathering systems in place?

6) When the project is over, does the agent and seller continue to hear from you from time to time?

Building relationships, going the extra mile for a client or agent, being enthusiastic - these are all necessary to ongoing success.
