With Jake home for 2 weeks of R&R from his station in Iraq, he had made a list of things he and his wife wanted to do. Kayaking was something new and different although both are experienced on and in the water.
Looking online for an outfitter they found River Canyon Adventures located just off Suck Creek Road just 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga.
If you are looking for a relaxing afternoon on the river, this is it. Today was mostly sunny with some overcast and slight chance for thundershowers. The paddling was easy and when the sun did break through the 2 of them headed for shade along the shore. Spotting a rope swing they had some fun getting wet and then moving on.
River Canyon Adventures supplies the kayak, paddles and flotation and lets you go providing as much or as little assistance as you need. The only requirement is a cellphone to call when you are done. The ski boat finds you downstream and shuttles you back to where you put in.
