Coaster Season, Baby!

It’s Roller Coaster Season, Baby! When I was a kid, one of the parks we visited during the summer, was of course, Opryland. They had amazing shows, great food (to a kid, at least) and wonderful rides. My favorite was “The Wabash Cannonball”. It was a metal coaster, and people would scream like crazy while riding it! It went upside down, backwards, and plummeted quickly from sky high to ground level. I was reviewing a Realtor’s production a couple of weeks ago, and it reminded me a lot of “The Wabash Cannonball”. It started out steady, shot up, leveled off, dropped suddenly, and the pattern repeated at least twice. As the agent and I began to look closely at the tips and dips, we noticed that the spikes happened while her kids were “in school” and the drops occurred shortly after any extended breaks. She had tears in her eyes as she realized that the pain she was suffering financially was the result of failing to be disciplined enough to generate business while her kiddos were on winter break and spring break, and as a result, she is broke. So here we are again, another “break” and another Real Estate Roller Coaster season. Do you have an amended lead generation plan or strategy that will allow you to spend time with your kids AND keep your business climbing? If not, I hope you will reconsider before you find yourself shaken and terrified because a sudden, unexpected drop has taken your breath away.
