I received a call today from a Century 21 office in Illinois, the name of the brokerage is Century 21 House Of Realty, the caller, Denise.

Denise asked me to bear with her and her strange tale, but she had a call from a lady in a near by hospital and was trying to assist her in her quest.

Apparently this lady was a customer of a Century 21 office here in Florida, more to the point near Port Orange, FL and her agents name was "John D.". This lady was really desperate to get a hold of "John D." Denise had done some searching and found our office and our John D, but we were not in Port Orange

I told Denise that while we are not in Port Orange, we are not that far and if our "John D." isn't her agent he sure would know who is as he lives in Port Orange and gave Denise John's cell number.

Well, sure enough, the lady calling from the hospital in IL was John's customer! Sold

Her and her son walked in our office last month to purchase a house which they closed on last week. She was driving down alone and was involved in a single car accident in which she broke her leg in two places. The car caught on fire and was totaled.

Her son is currently traveling and can not be reached so who else could she call? Her Century 21 Real Estate Agent of course! Alas! She didn't know how to get a hold of him, so she did the next best thing and called a local office who in turn found us for her.

Denise, that was going above and beyond!

Thank you so much!

John has sent a message to our customers son to let him know what has happened to his mom. Also, now that John knows his customer will not be here to meet the moving van when it arrives, he will make sure to be there for her.

Hopefully she will not be far behind her belongings and soon will be in FL too.

I am gald she only has a few broken bones, sounds as if it could have been much more serious. Great testimony to her comfort level with john D. to seek his help in a time like this. Glad everyone worked together to get the news to the son.

Eric, The great job goes to Denise! I'm not sure if she is a agent or staff, they are a huge company. and didn't get which office :(

Michelle, from what I understand of the accident, yes it could. She is very lucky. She doesn't have to stay in the hospital long at all.

That was pretty cool - I bet that John D is her favorite agent now and she will recommend Century 21 to everyone.

Hi Suzanne, Our network is on the computer, but Denise did have to do some searching, it must have taken her some time for sure to find us. His customer had surgery this morning and her son is on his way to her now.

Charles, Yes you sure do! Apparently she couldn't remember a whole lot at the time of her accident, and her son has no cell phone (believe that?), but she could remember Century 21!

Lysa, It's Denise checking in.  I think by now Elvira is safely in her new Florida home.  Thanks for all the kind words. I was happy to help out.   I can't imagine what it would have been like to be in a strange town, let alone hospital, where you know absolutely no one.  Anyway, it was my small way of helping someone.  She is a delightful lady in spite of her unfortunate circumstance.

PS- all signed up on AR!

Denise!! Welcome to Active Rain! I sure hope Elvira is here and comfortable, I've not heard from them yet. It's been so nice talking with you on the phone. Thank you so much for everything you did for her since I wrote this too. There is nothing small about what you did girl... You went way out of your way for them, that's huge!

We'll have to continue this story for everyone here and update them!
