Does anyone remember the old Denny's commercials where they played up the fact that you must be crazy to sell a whole breakfast for two bucks?
Well I'm here to tell you that THDA is out of its mind these days. There are some new and improved rates that they've started offering first time buyers (first time buyer requirement is waived for military personnel and those buying in 'targeted' areas).
Less than five and a quarter percent for a loan that GIVES you 4% to use for down payments or closing costs. Are you kidding me?
Under five percent interest rate and you ALSO get a 2% grant to go along with it. What's not to love?
Or pay your own down payment and get the mind-blowing low rate of 4.6%.
