THDA Interest RatesDoes anyone remember the old Denny's commercials where they played up the fact that you must be crazy to sell a whole breakfast for two bucks?

Well I'm here to tell you that THDA is out of its mind these days. There are some new and improved rates that they've started offering first time buyers (first time buyer requirement is waived for military personnel and those buying in 'targeted' areas).

Less than five and a quarter percent for a loan that GIVES you 4% to use for down payments or closing costs. Are you kidding me?

Under five percent interest rate and you ALSO get a 2% grant to go along with it. What's not to love?

Or pay your own down payment and get the  mind-blowing low rate of 4.6%.

Click for more information about THDA's loan programs for first time buyers including income and purchase price limits. If you are interested in buying a home in the Southside or MLK areas of Chattanooga, you can use THDA financing even if you aren't a first time buyer.

Yeah, they might just be out of their minds....

Hi Julia ~ I was just chatting this afternoon with a real estate agent in my office about the mind boggling low rates available now.  We'll look back with amazement at these rates.

Liz

PS ~ I have to confess to not remembering the Denny's commercial. Funny - it reminds me of how I use the Verizon commercials to explain agency - my spiel falls apart when I encounter buyers or sellers who don't have a TV - which is not uncommon around here.
