These Home Inspection Nightmares are real.  Never waive your right to a property inspection...NEVER.  I don't have addresses for any of these photographs that my home inspector sent to me, but I want my loyal readers in Anaheim Hills to see these.

Never waive your right to a property inspection.  If that is not clear enough for you; Never waive your property inspection!  Get a property inspection by a professional property inspector.  Otherwise, you might walk into a dark room, turn the light on and be glad you just wiped your rain-wet hands off on your jeans!

Some of these are VERY creative 'solutions' that people came up with - I think my favorite is the multiple p-trap design on the upper right.  Although a close second is the plug tied to the wiring in the bottom photo.

Too funny - you could compile a book of all these gadgets.

OMG - what people do to their homes is amazing.  The crutches holding up the awning is genius!

I've got more - mostly plumbing, that I will add Michael.  "Creative" is a generous description!

I'm glad I didn't see them all first-hand - what a nightmare.  So I can't author the book Laurie.  :-)

Yeah, I keep thinking I'd like to be able to send that crutches picture to Jeff Foxworty Cynthia.  He would blow it up as a backdrop for his You might be a redneck if... routine.

Hey Paul!  I haven't seen you in ages.  Have you been away from blogging or has it just been a while since our paths crossed?

Thank you Paul, I hope it brings some chuckles to your group.  I know some of them have seen these pictures because I found out they are a collection of fun pictures from over the years.

Yes Lyn, you've got to wonder what was going on in their minds.

None of you are going to believe this, but I actually had a buyer and buyer's agent waive their home inspection since I wrote this blog post.  You're spending $300,000 on a home and you are "saving" $400 by skipping the home inspections????  The agent actually questioned why I insisted she give me a waiver.  Then I hired an inspector and forwarded the results to the buyer and his agent.  Unbelievable.  This post shows examples of people all over America taking shortcuts with their "repairs".  I thought it would prevent anyone from taking a shortcut on their due diligence.  *Sigh*
