SPCA Florida: June is Adopt-a-Shelter Cat Month
I am a proponent of the SPCA and have adopted numerous dogs and cats from them as well as from the Humane Society. This is my cat Fluffy again in her peaceful gaze:
In honor of Adopt-a-Shelter Cat month, which promotes cat and kitten adoptions and awareness of spaying/neutering cats to end the cat overpopulation crisis, SPCA Tampa Bay will offer cat adoption specials, contests, and competitions in honor of the many homeless kitties waiting for their forever homes.
Events, Specials and Contests include:
Saturday, June 19th 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Cat Olympics 1:00pm & 3:00pm in the Feline Friends Room - SPCA Tampa Bay invites cat lovers and the media to watch our adoptable felines strut their stuff through the Cat’s Meow Obstacle Course. You’ll be amazed as they conquer the Tunnel of Tuna, perform Leg Weavers, jump into the Leap of Faith and then totter across the Cat Walk tight rope.'
Cat Jeopardy with emcee Leigh Moody, SPCA Tampa Bay Social Media Consultant at 2:00pm & 4:00pm in the Education Building - Cat Olympic competitors will now get to watch 3 human contenders test their knowledge of trivia in Cat Jeopardy with subjects like Cat Anatomy, Cat Facts or Myths, Know Your Breeds, and SPCA Tampa Bay History.
First, Second and third prize cat baskets from SPCA Tampa Bay Boutique will be awarded to the winners.

Adoption Hours: Tuesday-Thursday 11am to 7pm; Friday 11am to 6pm; Saturday 11am to 5pm; Sunday Noon to 5pm and closed Monday.
