Another Free Marketing Tool....

Okay now we all love FREE and this is one you can add to my unique ways to market you list. Have you heard of refrigerator ART marketing??? No I am not talking about magnets, magnet business cards or anything like that. I am talking about ART, actual ART. Now as an agent you all have been there you are trying to close a deal or go over specifics with a client and there is the child who wants mommy and daddy's attention and is definitely slowing the progress of why you are there in the first place.

Next time come prepared with coloring pages, but not just any coloring pages.  Pages with your contact information on them. The reason that I consider this to be a marketing idea  is because if you are a parent where does most of your child's art end up?? I know my sons art is covering the entire fridge right now. But if you have the child art plus your information it is a win, win for everyone.

You can carry a supply of them in your car so you have them when you go to your clients house or if you know ahead of time that they have children it may be worth your while to do a small gift for the children with a Folder (with pockets) a few coloring pages, a small pack of crayons and maybe a small stuffed animal or something along those lines. Parents love anyone who is helping keep their children entertained while trying to stay focused on important matters.

Here is the link to a site that does have different pages that you can print and fill out a small form that they will automatically put your information as well as a small message on the coloring page. You get it immediately and you can print as many as you want. Below is an example of one that I did earlier.

Have fun and remember your coloring pages!!!

oh what a great idea! I will get right on this one.  Run into so many kids along the way.  Busy little kids that won't sit down, this should help.

This is a wonderful idea and can keep the kids involved, plus as you say, it is all likely to end up on the refrigerator.

WOW,  thank you everybody. I didn't expect this post to get so much feedback as well as become a featured post. I haven't had a chance to check my email this weekend and when I got up this morning to check my email there was a flood of comments on this blog post.  All I can say is Thank You!!  Brad love the picture LOL :) and everyone else thanks for your comments. I will be sure to forward more information like this to all to share.

Marianna, You are right I went to Target this weekend and the crayons were $0.12 for 24 in a box you really would only want or need to get the 8 per set, but those would work to.  You can always pick them up at the Dollar Store or something along those lines if out of season and buying in bulk.

Margaret- Love the idea of laminating them. Of course you can do all kinds of things with them. If you did the laminating give markers instead of crayons that way it can easily be wiped off and re-used. The parents may also use it as a place-mat for kids to keep them busy at the table before dinner or something along those lines. - Just another idea.

I almost always have a high lighter with me. And that works on the laminated pages. and easy to erase.

Skye love this link! I have done coloring pages in the past but I have had to create them and put my information on them. This is a great way to do it.

Ashley,

I am glad you liked the post. I like it because it was simple and free and this day and age we can all use a little of both.

Maggie- Thanks I love my name too :). Well I didn't when I was younger but now that I am an adult I find it in itself to be a great marketing tool as everyone always remembers who I am. I am definitely not another Jane Smith.

What's with Anna Baron?  Got lost on her way to her own blog?  Sorry, I just think her ad for herself is a little out of place on YOUR blog about marketing.  I love your idea about a coloring project for kids.  Parents and kids alike just love it when you involve the whole family in your home sale efforts.

Skye, thanks for sharing this! I had also found this idea from the same site you mentioned above and decided to take this idea and create my own coloring page with the entry form on back. Also, I am doing a co-op with a local restaurant manager who is donating the gift certificate to the winner. I'm going to test it out in my youngest child's pre-school and at the restaurant, so wish me luck...I'm excited to see how this turns out!
