Why Use A Realtor ??

As a Realtor I get this question all the time. I got a call last week and met a gentleman at my listing. He was from Canada looking to make a purchase in SW Florida. He was looking for a bargain ! I showed him the property he inquired about ,it was not the right fit he said. I asked if he knew the area and he answered no. I asked him if he needed help with finding a property that would meet his qualifications and he said he would continue his on line search without the help of a realtor. I mentioned to him that he was not seeing the whole pictue of available properties that were on the market today.Without access to the MLS system many times the properties that appear active on non-MLS sites are allready under contract, the information is not updated instantly like the MLS. I also stated that he was missing out on information that a local realtor had knowldge of ,such as communities that have been affected by Bad Dry Wall or communities that have had issues with excessive foreclosures effecting their financial condition. As a buyer it does not cost anything to secure a local real estate professional to represent your interests as a buyer. The seller of the property offers compensation to a buyers agent. It only makes sense to seek the help of a Professional Realtor to assiist you in which could be the largest purchase of your life.

It is so true. I wonder why people think that they can get through it all without a seasoned Realtor.

All good points, especially at no cost to them.

I hope he went ahead and used your services!
