Time at the beach provides a great break from the routine, even if it's only for an hour. I headed down to Lihue's Kalapaki Beach yesterday and took this video while there.
Kalapaki Bay and it's crescent sandy beach is conveniently located right in Kauai's major city, Lihue. The narrow entrance from the ocean is shared by ships headed to and from nearby Nawiliwili Harbor. Here one sees sunbathers, surfers, stand-up paddle boarders, and a mix of other activities. It's a public beach that fronts Lihue's Marriott Hotel.
