More US Job Reports

Nothing to Write Home About Yet... but Jobs Are Improving.

We've been saying it... repeating it actually, because everybody knows that the key to better housing industry health is an improvement in the US jobs market. While the worst may be over, there is still much room to improve.

Writing this we're thinking about folks who are out of a job though, and it's heartbreaking to us. We're betting they are not thinking much about how the worst may be over. They are still in it.

Jobless Claims Down for 3rd Straight Week (article here)

• The number of Americans filing initial claims for unemployment insurance fell for the third straight week, according to the US Labor Department.
• "Things are lining up for recovery, but it's slower in its evolution than we expected," said Carl Riccadonna, U.S. economist for Deutsche Bank in New York.
